About us
In 2006, vocalist Abigail Seabrook was looking through some dusty music shelves at Birmingham library, wondering what all this strange and wonderful music from the 18th century was about. She set about looking for harpsichordist to bring it to life and met Dr Micaela Schmitz, an expert on the instrument and researcher extraordinaire. They were soon joined by cellist (and fight choreographer) Hetti Price.
Thus Lady Georgianna took form and took to the stage, as well as continuing their work in delivering high quality singing/songwriting/movement workshops, researching and editing this fantastic music. Five years later the historic girl band continue to delight their growing fanbase and are pleased and grateful to have funding from Arts Council England and Worcestershire County Council.
Lady Georgianna are unique in that most of their repertoire you will not find anywhere else, being taken from original 18th century musical publications!
