Excessively Diverting blog award
We feel greatly honoured to be nominated by not just one, but two fellow 18th century bloggers! We have been nominated by Herr Mozart from Prima la Musica and the lovely Mrs Woffington. The award is, in the words of Jane Austen Today, “to acknowledge writing excellence in the spirit of Jane Austen’s genius in amusing and delighting readers with her irony, humor, wit, and talent for keen observation. Recipients will uphold the highest standards in the art of the sparkling banter, witty repartee, and gentle reprove”.
I should probably make some kind of speech at this point, but I’m rubbish at writing them,
So here are my seven nominees! If you are one of the below, post the badge on your blog, linking to the person who nominated you, then nominate seven other blogs that you feel uphold the standards set forth! Nominees may place the Excessively Diverting badge in their side bar and enjoy the appreciation of their fellow blogger for recognition of their talent.
The Duchess of Devonshire’s Gossip Guide and its sister blog…
Marie Antoinette’s Gossip Guide
Fuchsia’s 18th century dress project
From the Desk of the Velvet Scribe

Many thanks, Lady G! So great to meet other 18th century fans…
Thank you so much for the nomination!! Your blog is well deserving of this lovely award, <3 Lady Georgianna!

Thank you so very much!
Thank you for the award nomination. Is it the mustache? I don’t feel particularly 18th century but hopefully my blog is diverting in an interesting way. I in turn would nominate an equal to my wit and wisdom in the shape of P K Randolph (Victorian gentleman but firmly of the 3rd Earl of Shaftsbury vision on life and art) more information on him can be found here http://www.pkrandolph.com
